Looking for news about El Cajon.
I saw in the San Diego paper that the fire went through there. I e-mailed my friend who lives there this morning and have gotten no response. Anyone know anything?

2. Power is out in much of that area
I had to close my SD office today and keep employees home...they couldn't get through to the office.

The mayor actually requested that businesses close.

I couldn't assure that I could get there.

3. It's Orange Avenue,
if that's any help. I was there once and it is at the top of the hill. Does this help any?

5. I heard from her.
She says the smoke is incredibly thick and her pool is a pool of ashes but they are okay. Said the fires were north, east and south of her. Hmm. Hope she keeps an eye out. Also said there was no real evacuation strategy around there. So hopefully all will stay safe.
