1. Just spammers or viruses forging your e-mail addy
http://www.zyra.org.uk/spoofing.htm

Though you might want to run a virus checker just to make sure *your* computer is not the source of these e-mails (if you aren't able to tell by checking the headers).

2. Someone who has YOUR address in their address book
got infected by a virus. Many e-mail viruses nowadays contain their own mail server program, so they can send copies of themselves directly from the infected machine rather than having to go through a proper server. They usually take a random e-mail address from the infected machine and "spoof" themselves out using that address. That way it's nearly impossible to track down the real infected computer.

4. you been jacked
Nothing you can do about it. They didn't actually GET into your hotmail account - just used it as the "reply to:" tag on email. It happens to many people - don't worry about it; most spam blockers wipe it before your Hot Vikagra and Sofwhere Bargins and steamy s*e*chs website emails actually get where they're going. Just hope your relatives aren't on the list.

I recently got an invitation to see Hot Hot Hot Latina Babes from my two year old nephew.
