Womans Intuition....Do you believe in it?
Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 08:08 PM by corarose
Us older girls know that if you have a gut feeling that you should go with it.

Anyone have any experiences with it?

I had a feeling that I would get Chef B*tch today and well I did. I even went back for the afternoon class and she was teaching that one.

Things worked out for the better. I have my ex baseball player Chef instead and now I don't have as many classes which means I can still bother yous guys (Chicago Spelling)!

1. Yep. I like what Gavin DeBecker says about women's intuition:
I don't have any quotes, but he essentially says that Women's Intuition is a gift from God, something in the way of an equalizer against bigger stalkers to give us forewarning of impending danger so we have a head start on reacting. He comments that it is information reaching a conclusion before our logical side has time to deconstruct, analyze, and reconstruct the information for a conclusion that danger is imminent.

I think it has something to do with the way our two brain halves are integrated.

2. I think because women tend to be more intuitive and sensitive to ''vibes"
or energy.

I think because women and girls tend to use their minds to survive more than their physical power, that women (and girls) are more in tune with their surrounding environment and with listening to their physical reactions to people, places and things.

3. How many times have you had a feeling not to walk down a street
And then you hear about someone being attacked on that street a few days later.

5. All humans have intuition.
Woman are just smart enough to listen to it.:D

I think the idea that we compensate for our lack of physical strength with mental processes could be a large chunk of why we are more "in-tune". Nothing more than a heightened sense of danger--but quite useful in the animal world.

Everyone's sense of intuition can be increased. I think women have the advantage in that area because we are naturally better able to "read" people--to judge body language, verbal cues, etc. to determine a person's intent. I speculate that we are hardwired for this due in order to communicate with infants and understand their needs.

7. women are very intuitive
and are much more inclined to listen to the "little voice" in their heads...men tend to brush it aside.

10. I am a woman
and my intuition stinks with respect to gut feeling.
However, when I pay attention to observations and process them, then I'm usually on the mark.

11. Except I learned from a man
My husband would be what you'd call intuitive, maybe even psychic. He picks up a lot off of people. An interview with my husband would be better than a background check. He says that he doesn't let emotional feelings get in the way of seeing the truth about people. I didn't learn intuition from him though.
I learned intuition from my best friend who is male. He said that there is an inborn component to it and a spiritual component of it. All people are capable of it although some people are seperated from their spiritual side. Being in tune with one's intuition requires freeing one's mind of both pure logic and pure emotion. When one is in tune with one's intuition, one can follow it using logic and emotion as tools rather than letting them be our guide. I don't know whether I've explained it correctly. It is like following one's heart, but raw emotion clouds it. I've learned to use it but as soon as I become too emotional about a situation, I cannot trust it. Being high on pot also helped unlock that portal. I don't have to be high to be intuitive anymore. It's just that it helped teach me to think differently. My previous thinking had been trying to live as a highly emotional Vulcan, if that makes any sense. Pot helped free me of both overly logical thought and raw, usually destructive emotion.

13. I believe we all have some intuition
Sometiems women are more tuned into it perhaps. Then again, I can look back on many, many gut feelings that I rationalized away instead of listening to.

21. Let me tell you about women's intuition
HER SIDE OF THE STORY:

He was in an odd mood when I got to the bar, I thought it might have been my fault because I was a bit late but he didn't say anything much about it. I don't remember doing anything to make him upset, but could tell there was something wrong. The conversation was quite slow going so I thought we should go off somewhere more intimate so we could talk more privately.

We went to this restaurant and he was STILL acting a bit funny.
I was getting really worried, what did I do? What was bothering him? Was he mad at me? I tried to cheer him up, but started to wonder what was bothering him. Was it me or something else? I asked him if he was upset with me, and he said no, but I wasn't really sure. In the cab on the way back to his house, I said that I love him, and he just put his arm around me! I didn't know what the hell that meant because, you know, he doesn't say it back or anything.

We finally got back to his place and I was wondering if he was going to break up with me! Why didn't he want to talk about this? So I tried to ask him about it, but he just switched on the TV. Why
would he rather watch TV than talk to me? Reluctantly, I said I was going to go to sleep, hoping he would get the hint that I was upset and wanted to talk. After about 10 minutes, he joined me and we made love.

He still seemed really distracted, so afterwards I just wanted to leave because I was so upset, but I just cried myself to sleep. He didn't even notice how upset I was! Why does he have to play mind games with me?

I mean, do you think he's met someone else???

HIS SIDE OF THE STORY:

Played horribly today - shot a 97 - can't putt for shit.

Felt kinda tired.

Got laid though.
