1. To be honest...
...I watched the original and the remake back-to-back not long ago, and the only thing I could honestly say I thought was better about the original was Steve McQueen. But man, he was great.

I really like Faye Dunaway too.

3. It's dated now
Some films hold up better than others; many films from the '30s are more in tune with the times than those from the '80s. I liked this film when it came out, but found a recent watching painful. McQueen, though, is great.

5. I saw that movie at the theater when it was out--
We thought it was so cool because it was filmed here in Boston. And, of course, I loved Steve McQueen.
