Homage to Blue

You stayed when you didn't want to.
You held your needs until I came home.
You loved without expecting anything in return.
You were simple.
Honest.
You were mine.
And happy to fulfill that role.

You gave me your body when I was cold.
Sad.
Happy.
Lonely.

You shared your excitement
when a bird flew by.
When Children squealed
in delight as a swing
swung high.

You lived life
as I only wish I could
live mine.
