All of a sudden, I smell wet dog. WTF?!?!
I was sitting here typing away, and all of a sudden the stench of wet dog permeated my area. Yuck!!

First off, there is no dog here, and I am not wet - so I don't know what happened.

And second - how do you dog owners deal with the stench of dogs?

2. Maybe it is the ghost of a dog that died of pneumonia.
It probably had a bath and ran away then its spirit finally came home.

Here's my boy. He's on my lap as we speak...er...write.

He smells pretty good, but that's because we gave him a bath today.

4. Wouldn't call it a stench so much ...
I mean, it depends on what time of day and which end you're smelling, but for the most part a dog's general smell is just like any human's ... you get familiar with it as part of 'the clan'.

HippiedogHank, for the most part, smells like Frito's, unless he's had his citrus flavored flea-repellent. I can live with that.

12. Frito's! Exactly! That's the smell!
Frito's...taste sooooo good, but are soooo bad for you. I once ate a whole (large) bag 'o fritos in college after smoking a bowl. They taste way better going in than out. But I digress.

This is disgusting, but in some libraries, when you seat on a chair with a cushiony bottom, sometimes a rather unpleasant smell comes out of it... I suspect its the compounded farts of thousands of patrons. I dont even wanna think about it...

9. 2 of my dogs smell fine
but my Golden, Phewwwwww when she is wet it is nauseating! Do you have her? She is very sweet but you will need to return her when she is dry.

11. I love the smell of wet dog
Really. When my dog is wet he's either just had a bath in herbal essence (which I like the smell of) or he just went swimming in the lake and hasn't dried off yet. For me its a pleasant familiar smell.
