Kabbalah- The new fad.
Edited on Wed May-25-05 01:07 PM by Shell Beau
Since when has religion been a fad? I was in Bath and Body Works and saw Kabbalah candles for sale and inside your package you also get a red string bracelet. Talk about capitalizing! But seriously, isn't that kind of sacrilegious? I don't really like the idea of marketing a religion by selling candles at a store where a lot of women and teenagers tend to shop. All because it is the religion of celebrities at the moment.

What do you think?

1. Does it cost less than Scientology?
I could really use a cheap fake religion right now.

2. Kabbalah's been a fad since Madonna got her hooks into it
and I believe other celebrities have followed suit.

7. It should only cost your time and only if you feel like giving that.

8. "New?"
Surely you jest. The craze has been around ever since Madonna released Ray of Light.

9. I know it has been around, but I only recently saw
items for sale at a store that I wouldn't have thought would sell such. And for $30.00. So if I buy the candle and wear the bracelet, I am a Kabbalahist? (sarcasm)

10. Reminds me of a KIDS IN THE HALL skit
How to be a Doors fan:

Here. Take this, it's an 8-track tape of Morrison Hotel. It's one of the last in existence. I want you to steal a car...I want you to get in it and drive West. Play the tape full-blast. When the tape ends, get out and get into a fight, then get back into the car, come to town and meet me at the Carcas Club...I will let you in to the most prestigious hotel of all time...

Q: Which is?

A: Morrison Hotel!

Q: Then what?

A: Then, you're gonna be a
Doors fan, man.

11. WWJD bracelets, Jesus fish stickers, Precious Moments...
Religious pop fads have been around as long as I can remember. Go look through a Hallmark shop, or even a KMart or a WalMart, and see how much cutesy ripoff Christian crap you can find. Little gold angels for your lapel, crosses made out of horseshoe nails, these trinkets are everywhere. What's the difference?
