So my resume is out there on job websites and I get a call from a small consulting firm that I've never heard of. The manager asks me if I am looking for a job, and I say yes. He asks if I would like to come in and talk about an "opportunity" and I say ok. I look at the website and there are no jobs posted, so I have no idea what I am going to be considered for.
When I get there I am introduced by the manager to two other people and suddenly I am in a conference room being grilled with technical questions pertaining to their specialty field, in which I have little experience. They are pretty tough for me to answer, but I struggle through it and after about 10 minutes, I ask if they could please "back up" and tell me about the job. I get a brief description and then we go back to more technical questions, which aren't going real well. Finally the manager gets a phone call and leaves the room.
I say to the other two, "you know, if I had actually seen or heard a job description before I came over here- I would have decided that I was unqualified for it and saved us all some time"... Then I ended up giving them suggestions how to recruit for this position.
Talk about a lack of communication! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
