I really like dating treehuggers
Just a little appreciation thread for treehugger women. I really like meeting women who are involved in or work for environmental issue groups, or who I can go backpacking with. I've got a date with one coming up and she reminds me why I used to date girls I met in the campus enviro group in college.

Why? hmm...I could name a lot of reasons I suppose, but an important one is that people who feel strongly about protecting the environment tend to have a healthy outlook and perspective in life. I don't recall meeting an environmental activist who was a high strung, materialistic, shallow, mean asshole.

1. I got to know the pleasures of camping, finally, last summer.
It was pretty much heaven.

One night, we were camping near the Grand Canyon (well, as near as you can get to it) and even though it was June, it got down to 34 degrees that night. My daughter was in the sleeping bag with me and I kept waking up and feeling her cold arm and face and hoping she wasn't too cold.

Then I'd look up. We had left the rain tarp off because the winds were so strong. But they died down around 10 pm and we were already in bed.

I saw my first shooting star looking up through the tent roof. And I woke up so often, I tracked the progress of the moon across the sky, the first time I had ever done that.

God, that was a magical night. There's so much more to it but I can't put it into words. Just beautiful.

Sorry, I got off-topic! You mentioned camping and off I went!

10. We went camping there
Edited on Thu May-26-05 01:06 AM by FreedomAngel82
a long time ago. It really is nice. Another good place to go is Yellowstone. But be warned it gets VERY cold (this was in the mid/late summer). My shoes froze and one night I was so cold I stayed in our van. One night in Yellowstone my parents, brother and I went to this little show that talked about the park and everything with the stars and it was really very beautiful. If I had a date it would've made some nice cuddling. ;)

6. heh
Liberal women do tend to be more fun in bed too from what I can tell, or in the tent.
