OK, here's a question for the IT people: Can you tell if someone has
changed their e-mail address, or just terminated being on-line? In other words, if you send an e-mail and it bounces as being undeliverable, can you figure out why it bounced?

1. You can't necessarily tell if they've changed an e-mail address
but a bounced message will usually have an explanation for why it bounced. . . i.e. the address is incorrect, the mailbox is full, etc.

2. OK, thank you!
One of mine bounced to an old and former friend, and I could not tell why...I erased it too, so can't go back and look at it again. Oh well....It said undeliverable, is all I remember now.

3. Try sending it again...
You should get another error message back, and then you can look at why it bounced.

4. Yes, good idea! Thanks....
If there were a firewall up, would you be able to tell that?

7. Just send another one
If it's still undeliverable, you'll get another bounce message.

5. You can check the "Options" of the email...

The 'Internet headers' show the traffic of the mail and usually indicate if the address is invalid or if it just was refused and bounced for some other reason. Not too reliable or helpful info, but it's there.
