They're remaking a tv show again!

I thought that Darren McGavin was Kolchek? Now they've remade it for the fall schedule on ABC. It'll never last-it's going up against CSI.

3. Sounds like it's in LA.

Night Stalker was awesome! I love that show. I used to have it on videotape (one of the many things the ex took w/ him).
I just don't know about this.

Do you get the feeling that this show is not meant to last? Come on, they are putting it up against the top-rated show in America. They have no plans for it to be successful.
And they moved Alias up against Survivor on Thursday night knowing the ratings that Survivor pulls in and that Alias has always struggled w/ the ratings. I think that they must want that show to end too.
It's always interesting to read the fall schedule. You can tell what they want to succeed, what they want to fail and what older shows they want to get rid of.

Why are they going to tarnish it with this tripe?

Does anyone remember the original "Night Stalker" movie? I think it was made in 1972. It starred Darren McGavin and was about Kolchek on the trail of a vampire.

The last time I saw it (probably 1978), it spooked the hell out of me. I was in ninth grade and alone at home at the time (which explains a lot), but I thought it was a pretty good horror flick.

14. Like the Dark Shadows theme music, the theme to Night Stalker

still gives me the willies. I have flashbacks to being a kid huddled on the couch watching The Night Stalker in a darkened apartment thinking I saw someone standing at the end of the hallway.

I'm going to have to buy this DVD...and watch it during the daytime with other people around. :evilgrin:
