4. Why do they even pretend????
Every time he has done this, it has been scripted and the questions are pre-determined. It is insulting that they even do this. It is propoganda disguised as being a stand-up guy. Bush gets questions he has already seen before hand and wants to answer, and we will be lead to beleive he was a man and stood up to the hard questions. Rove must really think everyone is stupid.

It is a farce. He is reading and his voice is very dull and the style in which he is reading is pure rote.

He is extolling his "administration's" accomplishments--telling us all how great things are. Better prescription care for seniors, the standard line of propaganda crap.

Now complaining about a small group of senators who are blocking his judicial nominees.

Reading...stumbling, reading.

Mideast roadmap: meager results?
Settlements, building the wall.
Concrete actions on your part about this?
Answer: two-state solution. Focused efforts to combat TERROR. .
Abu Massan came here and pledged a focus and concerted effort to fight terror so that we could have a Palestinian state. No longer in power. Not the commitment there by the old guard.
Effort by all parties to fulfill their responsibilities.
The fence: difference between security and land acquisition and we have made our views clear on that issue .
We want the conditions for a Palestinian state to be positive. When they fight-off terror then the state can emerge.
We are prepared to help the Palestenian economy. But they have to do what is necessary to make a Palestinian state to come forth.

Notice how, at the end of his statement, he pushes his upper lip over the lower, making him look even more chimp-like than usual? It's that look that was captured on camera the other day when he was in the Phillippines, standing between two other men.

Just got a good question from Nora, asking him if he was premature in announcing the end of the conflict. She asked him to admit he was wrong. Nora. Get a grip. Now he's rambling on with his answer but saying nothing.

shrub sez "no hostility, not did I sense any" --very hopeful meeting

muslims say why do americans think muslims are terrorists? * sez that's not what americans think---terrorists have hijacked a great religion

re: boykin, IG investigation underway

we love muslims, love all religions

he is first prez to advocate palestinian state (sounded like he said abdicate)

there was concern about boykin, but we need to make sure folks in indonesia for example know how american people think, and * was pleased to make that case to these muslim leaders

80. A quick review for those that couldn't see this little gem...
This was by far, the WORST press conference of all time.

bush rambled, was never on message, looked beaten and defeated, and he couldn't even deliver his well rehearsed lines about 9-11 and terrorism.

He was a complete and total failure, and I am sure, he won't have another ? and answer session with the press.

As for the press, in many cases, they asked tough questions, and are finally holding bush to the fire. I must give credit to some of them; although, they were not allowed to pursue their ?'s with followups.

I am sure, that those close to bush are telling him he is like a motivational god; but the reality of the situation is that he is a complete buffoon, and everyone who saw today's performance, will come away with the reality of the situation: This is the WORST president the US has EVER had.

Thank God! he had the stupidity to come out and talk to the press....now EVERYONE knows what an asshole he truly is.

:kick:
