7. Just relaxing on a Saturday night,

I was paddling on the Vermillion river in Hastings yesterday for a couple of hours! Nearly every muscle in my body aches, I have blisters on my thumbs and I got some water up my nose.

In short, I couldn't be happier!

I'm very tired though, today I had an almost hungover feeling--just from released stress and finally getting to sleep in!

Oh here's a pic of where I was:

This pic was taken last September after a heavy rain--if you look very closely I am in the yellow boat in the very back of the pack. (back and to the right)

9. Airshow? I didn't know there was an air show....

Until last summer I had no idea the Verm was anything other than a muddy farm ditch (like it is going through Farmington) but that little park just off of downtown HAstings is BOMBER, I love that little stream!

13. Cool, are you gonna get a ride in the B-25

with the raiders?

The bridge you see a bit of in the pic is just down from that waterfall. I love running the slide you can see in the background. We call that triple drop. Right below the bridge is railroad hole. Sadly that is where I missed my roll and swam yesterday....sigh.

15. No ride in the B-25

too 'spensive!

I am a volunteer for the Wings of the North airshow (Eden Prairie, Flying Cloud airport - July 23-24). For some reason the website is not up...maybe routine maintenance (http://www.wotn.org). During the post airshow picnic, I will get a ride in either a T-6 Texan or a B-17 Flying Fortress.
