Does anyone really live in the Los Angeles area?
I've heard there might be a few, but I've only met two, and one had just moved here.

I've never been to a DU meetup here. I've never been told about one, to my recollection. I don't even know if they exist.

At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if *I* exist! Am I really in Los Angeles? If so, am I all alone, DUer-less? Is there no place to hang with my fellow progressives?

And how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop??? The damn owl won't return my calls!

I live in the Los Angeles area; Manhattan Beach to be exact...Where in LA are you? And I do believe that there will be an LA Du meetup later in the summer...dates to be determined...I don't remember just who was talking about it right now...Anyway, you are NOT alone!

10. I was looking around for the thread; alas, I did NOT bookmark it.
I don't remember who the OP was...I even went into the California forum to see if his name popped up...no luck. But I've added you to my buddy list, and if/when I see anything more, I'll PM you, OK? You're just up the coast a little ways from me...

It's true that our traffic is awful...But the air is not nearly as dirty as it used to be, and we have a lot more scenery and mountains, my dear, than Chicago does! And we have the Pacific Ocean too...Plus Catalina Island, and a multitude of wondrous buildings and museums, and like that...

And BTW, I LOVE Chicago...grew up in Evanston, and my daughter went to the U of Chicago, too...

So, CAREFUL!

Trust me, if it were up to me, Ahnold wouldn't have gotten that first term, never mind any second one...Gray Davis was no winner, but Ahnold is awful...He hasn't announced whether or not he'll run again. Who knows?
