So I have this black bitch under my table

She's afraid of lightning and thunderstorms.

I guess I don't hate ~all~ dogs after all

 for Shelby

edit for picture :

2. Collie-Lab mix
She's older, the cat isn't thinking too much about sharing space with her, but I'm not the type of guy to lock her in my roommate's room when she's scared and lonely.

3. Good for you
we must help out our doggie friends. Wish I could send her a treat-but my dog (half golden retriever, half horse) would probably get mad....

4. Does music help?
Had a cat who was terrified (with reason) of the thunder/lightening during monsoon in AZ. I finally put a radio and blanket in the laundry room (no windows, in center of the house) for him that time of year. Helped a lot for him to have a dark, safe hide-y hole. The music seemed to distract him from all the thunder.

Might try drawing the curtains/blinds shut and playing some music for the poor critter.

5. I only have headphones

Perhaps the AC blasting will drown it out. I think it's over and she's just milking the time.

7. I have one that looks just like that
Half Golden-Half Newfoundland. Black, with a touch of white. And she's scared to death of thunder. And today is her 10th Birthday!

The other one is 8. He's half Lab-half Golden, but built like a manatee.

My gun is in safe hands. It's an HK, .40 cal, USP handgun. I could smoke her in a moment, just give the word.

16. Awww, what a pretty girl
My dog is the same way, horrified of storms. She too gets under the desk, but I think that's pretty damn smart of her because everyone knows your supposed to get under a heavy piece of furniture if a tornado is coming!

18. My dad calls his cat a "black bitch"
or a "black duck". Both of us have gotten into the habit of calling cats "dawgs"! My girlfriend now sometimes calls cats "dawgs" now too. Yes, I know I'm weird...
