I've tried CPR, when do I give up?

3. An older kitten dragged him out
This kitten usually meowed a lot, it is still moving but no meowing. I am so upset.

4. Do you have a veteranarian hospital near by?
If so, take him in. If he's still moving, it may not be too late. :hug: to you, and I hope your kitten will be okay.

9. Take his temp
If his body temp is less than 100F, warm him up.

Use a heating pad or hot water bottle.
Tube feed him warm liquid like pedolyte or diluted gatorade.

14. If an older kitten dragged him out,
that's usually a good indication that the kitten is dying. Perhaps it's Nature telling you this little character isn't quite equipped for this world.

15. The older kitten was from the prior litter
They love to play and probably treated this kitten much the way cats treat mice. The prior litter was born the day the tsunami hit Asia.

last one I had that I gave CPR too, came back pretty fast, try massage on the heart area, if CPR hasn't worked in 10 minutes or so. What happened? The one I brought back bite an electric cord.

5. try pressing on the spot below the nose and above the mouth,
they do that to newborns to stimulate breathing I think...call a vet!!!!!

sounds like you need to take her to the vet hospital. Pets are like kids, they only like to have an emergency on holiday weekends. I hope everything is OK!

Call 911 !!!!

10. I don't know about fluids if it is unconscious
I can't afford a vet, so I guess if my massages don't work, this baby will die. I say this with tears streaming down my face. Angel the mom is quite old maybe these babies are weakened by that..

12. Put a blow dryer on low and heat the kitten with it.
Keep it from going into shock until you can get to emergency vet.
If an older kitten got it, look for puncture wounds but please go to the vet NOW!

13. I dont think the mothers age would be a factor
If you lose this kitty, dont be too hard on yourself.
A lot of very young animals die of congenital defects to heart or GI system. These problems are not practically resolvable.
