Actors or actresses too good for tv, but not good enough for movies
Thought of this on another thread about David Caruso. Actors who are better than average on television, but who don't quite have leading role stature on the big screen.

Others: Rob Morrow, Michael J. Fox, Keifer Southerland.

1. MJFox-Back To The Future. Keifer, don't
talk bad about him! Seriously, he's been in a lot of movies, pretty much always the bad guy. But it seems to me he's always worked. He's getting more notoriety being on TV now, most noteably '24', which is seriously one of my favorite shows, damn the consequences.

3. His bad guys in movies, though, have never had much complexity
They've always reminded me of tv characters.

Good point about MJ Fox. I was thinking of his string of busts, with "Secret of my Success," and the others around that time. He was very successful with Speilberg, though.

2. Tom Selleck
He really wanted to have a big movie career at one time, but it has eluded him. Yet he was very successful for many years on "Magnum" and had a recurring role on "Friends" a few seasons ago. It was "Magnum" which prevented him from doing the first "Indiana Jones" movie years ago--the role went to Harrison Ford.

5. Good choice. He was good in "In and Out"
Though that was a supporting role. And only one film.
