meaningful thoughts and ideas in our real lives (and believe me, where I live it always turns into an argument). You can go to GD but that has become the angry persons forum.
My friends and I have meaningful discussions. We have informative discussions. We have heated discussions. But sometimes you just want to have a Seinfeld day. Sometimes you just want to say something silly that you can never say in real life and relax w/ people who will accept your silliness.
I like the Lounge. I can be silly and forget about the crap that I am putting up w/ every day in my real life. If I want to fight, I'll go to GD, GDP or LBN. Here, I can let my hair down and allow myself to have a sense of humor.

Has it occurred to you that people doing that adds to the suckiness of the lounge, and if people would refrain from acting like that, the lounge would be better?

In other words, your threads about how lame the lounge is seem to be part of the problem.

So stop being part of the problem. Either enjoy it or go to another forum. No one's forcing you to click on the lounge.
