So I painted for eight hours today.

My daughter's bedroom. Two coats of Kilz, then there are two different paint colors (one on two walls, the other on two walls).

I'm not even done, the room is huge.

Then there's the baseboards and door frames, which need a fresh coat of paint. And I'm planning on painting the ceiling (currently a dingy beige).

Whew. I am speckled with paint, exhausted and sweaty, despite cranking the a/c and two ceiling fans in that room.

I think a shower and some kind of nightcap is in order.

How did everyone else spend their Memorial Day?

2. Working, worrying.

Wife's out of work, they cut my hours at my job...gonna hafta find a second job again.

Oh, and thinking of my dad, who was a Vietnam vet.

Other than that...I enjoyed being on DU for an hour or so. That was nice.

as our esteemed pResident would say, lol! no really, i'm sure you're feeling whipped. i just finished a whole house interior painting project myself, but it included a faux finish. never knew i could sweat so much! just think - you don't have to do that again for awhile!

oh, and have a drink or a smoke. you deserve it!
