Please good thoughts quickly!
My best friend is 36 or 37 weeks pregnant with twins (can't remember right now) and she's just been admitted to the hospital--her liver is not functioning correctly, something about bile salts, and her blood pressure is through the roof. This all happened very quickly, this morning. They are probably going to deliver via c-section soon, but I'm worried. She's in another city about 3 hours from here. Please any good thoughts you can send to her, I'd appreciate.

10. Good thoughts for you all!
Babies are such a blessing--yet so scary!

36-38 weeks? Those kids are gonna be FINE! I remember my OB telling me when Material Girl was at 36 weeks that anything after that point was just a matter of how much the kid was gonna weigh in at. He claimed that at 36 weeks the kid was "ready to pop out." I told him at the time that "pop out" was NOT exactly the term I wanted to hear out of him... :)

Anyhow, it sounds like maybe your buddy is ready to have those babies and they are coming at a good time. Sounds like her body may have sent them a small "eviction notice."

Keep to a quiet celebration and buy some more disposable diapers!

13. The good thing is
the twins hung in there and now they're "ripe." They'll probably be fine. Luckily this didn't happen when she was at 24 or 25 weeks!

Hope she and the babies are okay...I'm sending good thoughts!

16. Good wishes headed your friend's way
At 36 to 37 weeks, they should be okay to come out, even if it is via an emergency c-section. BP problems during an already high-risk pregnancy suck.

It took me a couple of days to return to normal BP-wise after my high-risk pregnancy delivery (at 37 weeks, but it was a scheduled c-section).

19. Mine actually skyrocketed after the birth.
I had BP problems which is why they induced, but I wasn't home from the hospital one day before I suddenly swelled up horribly, and had the worst headache of my life, and had to go right back to the hospital. Pregnancy related BP issues are scary.

18. Good thoughts for your best friend.
The babies will be okay, and now that she's in the hospital hopefully they'll have a handle on it. I had similar problems after I had my last one, and once I was hospitalized they got it all under control.

Ah, there they are behind the sofa.

Here, give them to your friend, she may spend them all in one place.
