5. I thought it was worth the wait.
Well worth the wait. I felt like it made up for what seemed to be lacking in Episodes I ans II.

10. Yeah they did
2 wasn't as bad as 1, but they were both lacking.

While I was watching 3, I forgot about 1 and 2 sucking. Afterwards, though, I was thinking about other trilogies, and that Matrix and LOTR would stand up better as 3 movies against the prequel trilogy, and I felt sort of let down.

I wasn't expecting too much going into 3, and after seeing it, I realized that Lucas still had "it", so what the fuck was he doing during 1 and 2??

3 was great, though, I cared about the characters.

9. I thought it only average
I saw Crash and liked it much better.

I prefer character driven movies to most other kinds.

12. I didn't think it was walk out of the theater bad...
I just thought the plot and character development was terrible though.

Haven't seen crash yet. Seems like it's the sleeper hit this year.

13. Others didn't like it, so you're not alone. Personally, I really liked it
There were a lot of parallels and symbolism you might have missed if you weren't very familiar with all the films.

Before I saw Sith, I predicted that Anakin's battle with Dooku would parallel Luke's battle with Vader in Return of the Jedi. The reason? There can be only two Sith Lords. Long ago there was a war among the Sith and a smart Sith Lord decided that because of the destructive nature of the Dark Side, there could be only two Sith Lords at any given time: a master and an apprentice. In Return of the Jedi, Palpatine demands that Luke kill Vader and take his place. Until that moment, I don't think Anakin / Vader realized how he was manipulate by Palpatine when he killed Count Dooku. Palpatine realized Anakin was stronger and younger and betrayed Dooku, just as he later betrayed Anakin / Vader.

Also, I enjoyed the symbolism of Palpatine destroying the Senate Chambers. He had, after all, destroyed the Republic. He was symbolically destroying the senate.

I found it appropriate that both Sith Lords ended up as scarred on the outside as they were on the inside. In all three prequels, there is some kind of parallel between Anakin's life and Luke's life. Anakin's arm is chopped off; Luke loses his hand. Anakin and Luke even end up in the same types of predicaments: hanging by their hands over what looks like a bottomless pit, taking out huge capital ships with proton torpedoes, becoming the greatest pilots of their time. If you watch closely during lightsaber duels, you will even see backgrounds that echo those in IV, V and VI. Some scenes remind me of the duel on Bespin. The duel between Anakin and Dooku definitely looked like the duel between Luke and Vader in ROTJ. Palpatine was sitting on a throne, watching the whole thing both times. He was never really a prisoner of Grievous. Dooku was handling the Trade Federation part of the war; Palpatine handled the clone operation. Together, they made a war that focused the attention of the Republic on other things. The citizens of the Republic longed for peace, so they granted Palpatine "special emergency powers." It played right into his hands and the Republic fell.

I found the political intrigue, the symbolism and parallels quite fascinating.

OK, I'll shut up now.

15. I saw some of that
though not quite to the extent that you did :D

I just thought it really wierd that one second the Jedi's are good guys and then *poof* they're bad guys and oh, by the way now we're an empire and Palpatine's in charge and nobody even blinks. It just didn't feel very realistic.

Same thing with Anakin's turn to the dark side. I'm sorry, but if I had a premonition that my girlfriend was going to die in childbirth, the first thing I'd do is have her go to the doctor. Flipping to the darkside seems a bit of a stretch when other, far more obvious (and moral) solutions to the problem existed.

And don't even get me started on how Princess whatshername just up and dies for no apparent reason after popping out the kids. Whatever. :)
