Tomorrow night, I'll be a happy man...
I'm going to Pennsylvania for a business trip, so by this time tomorrow night, I'll have a full belly and completely clogged arteries from the Pudge's cheesesteak hoagie I'll be having for dinner.

Not that I'm not happy pretty much all the time, but it's always nice to have a treat. I haven't been down there for two years, so I got that Hoagie Jones going big time.

You guys who live around Philadelphia know exactly what I mean, don't you?

9. Thanks, kiddo. It'll be fun. Though I'll have to put some work
into keeping the hoagie grease out of the 'stache.

But I'll make the effort just for you.

2. Philly-area guy here.
I have not eaten at Pudge's, though. Enjoy your stay! I love Philadelphia.

10. Never eaten at Pudge's? You MUST do so, and immediately!
It's in East Norriton, on Route 202, just north of Township Line Road.

Go there now. No, wait, they're closed this time of night. go there tomorrow.

You won't be sorry you did.

14. Le Bec fin is good, all right, but you can get
damn good French food pretty much anywhere...but a good cheesesteak hoagie is something not uneversally available.

So I'll grab one when I can.

So, so you miss Tastykake stuff too?

16. the key to that was
on company dollar. I only go there with clients, cause I just don't believe any food is worth that much of my own money.

I do miss tastykakes, butterscotch krimpets rule the world. I have a freind/competitor who lives in Philly. She brings me an assortment when she comes to Denver.

You live in CT. Ever do a Ted's Steamed Cheese Burger?

18. Not yet, though I've heard of the place.
Lots of good dog 'n' burger places here, and am still working my way through them.

Though a good dog or burger still isn't the transcendental experience that a good hoagie is.

20. that is so true
my company has a factory in Wallingford. You can get a good pizza in that part of the world. Pizza in Colorado is all bad. A good pizza can be a out of body experience like a good hoagie.

4. Is it really true...
(according to what my Philly friends tell me) that "If the cheesesteak's not from Philly, it ain't a real cheesesteak"?

8. Naaaa but it has to be the right roll
It's all about the roll. Guy who ran the Hoagie shop by my High School in the 80's moved here to Denver. Still has great steaks and hoagies but the roll is all wrong. Someday!

Just as good as Amoroso's, if not better. No insult to Amoroso's intended, of course. They are The Source, after all.

wait they might use Amoroso's in their bins. I really miss WaWa's as well. Must be hungry or feeling nostalgic. Was just back there a couple of months ago, must be hungry.

Tomorrow night i'll be happy, I'm going to Pennsylvania!

But it's cool that you like cheesesteaks, you can't get a decent one out here in Pittsburgh, but who needs one when you have Primanti's anyway?
