had a job interview just now, wish me luck
I just made the contact by phone this afternoon about 1:30 and she asked if I would be able to come by and talk to her about 3:00. It turns out there is an opening, but we started the meeting with her using that old familiar word: "overqualified."

Wish me luck, prayers, good thoughts, vibes, karma, or whatever ya got. please.

9. Best of luck and
screw people who turn down excellent job applicants because they are "over-qualified". Some of the most dedicated, dependable employees I had were way "over-qualified" and I was very, very proud to get them.

on edit: as to the quote remark, thanks. I also like the quote that I used to have in my sig line by George Clooney to the effect (because I'm sure I would misquote it) that liberals don't have to put "compassionate" in front of our names to show that we give a shit about people.

move to make, though it may not make a difference. I'm going to get off a thank you note right away with some more info. regarding references, one of which is Congressman Brian Baird - who just had twins BTW, that is his wife just . . . oh, you know - wish him luck too. he he :)

Congressman anymore. I am "represented" (in the loosest interpretation of that word) by a DeLay cohort. :puke:
