My stomach won't calm down long enough for me to go to sleep but I don't feel like sitting up for too long at one time either. So I've been mostly laying on the couch reading. Got through a book printed back in 1980 about the state of the resisitence in Afghanistan and another written in the mid-70s on gender relations in the Muslim world focusing on Morocco as a case study. I usually find non-fiction like that fascinating...usually...but it's just not holding my attention today. And there's a long long afternoon staring me in the face.
Any suggestions on what to do to occupy my brain today would be greatly appreciated.
I usually try to nap things off. Even if I don't get any actual sleep, I end up feeling better anyway. Drinking Pepto out of the bottle is not out of the question for a seriously upset stomach.
or intrepid heros and heroines comitting brave but unsung deeds behind Nazi lines during WWII. For some reason nothing is holding my interest today.
But with the upset tummy. Right now I am reading Pegasus Bridge by Stephen Ambrose. Abotu the 6th Airborne Division and the coup de main that they performed before the start of D-Day. It is a pretty good book.
