I need a physics teaching job.
No one will hire me. I have two years of experience teaching physics with good success; I'm certified; and I have a B.S. in physics, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I know I'm not the best interviewer, but really, is there a reason no one will hire me?

I'm screwed if I don't get a job for next year.

Sorry for sitting here and complaining. I'm in one of those "poor me" moods.

1. Where are you looking, geographiclly?
My friend in Florida said that the state is short of teachers, tried to convince me to go teach math, even thought I doubt I'm qualified.

2. It should be realitively easy. Did it have to be in Physics? Or
can it be in a related field? What area of the country do you live in? I know in CA. it's not as bad for Phixiks.

7. I'm in New York, and right now, it has to be physics.
I'll be certified in math soon, but as of right now, physics is my only certification.

3. for teaching
you're gonna have to move probably..places like North Carolina need teachers and have excellent bennies and perks. check their teach4nc site.

also, get a good professional resume writer and check the private school networks

12. Do a mock interview with a friend
And videotape it.Have them ask you tough questions.You can then go back and watch yourself and see what you need to work on.

There is a huge shortage of qualified teachers in this country,if you are willing to relocate you shouldnt have too much trouble finding a job.They are even bringing in teachers from overseas to fill the void.Good luck.
