What did you want to be when you grew up?
The first thing I remember wanting to be was an astronaut...either that or a princess.

Alas, I am neither.

I'm 48, and I STILL want to be one. When I was in the AF I applied to the Shuttle Mission Specialist program and was summarily rejected, too tall and glasses. Damn...

I've seen the world both good and evil, I prefer the good.

I've lost loved ones before their life's journey was complete and seen others waste their talents pursuing material things only to achieve wealth and lose happiness.

My goal and efforts now are helping others make their dreams come true while understanding their proper role in nature.

12. I remember telling people when I was four years old...
that I wanted to be a paeleontologist(my dad was a geologist). I remember seeing some pretty funny expressions upon hearing that word come out of a four-year-old's mouth. :)

I had the get-up and everything. It would've been cool - looking out the window of a big locomotive driving (train-ing?) around everywhere, .. but soon afterward it was astronaut.

The nurse happened...the lawyer and president didn't!

Got that taken out of me real quick in the days of few scholarships, no Pell grants and what there was reserved for males. My stepfather told me that if he was going to pay for me to go to college I would have to be a nurse, a teacher or a secretary...something -fit- for a woman.

36. I wanted to be a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
I was very into theater and I wanted to be a comedic actor. I haven't done any performing of any kind though since a high school chorus solo in 1990. :(

I started off majoring in marketing, changed my mind and got a degree in early childhood education, and I'm now working on another degree in nursing. Life happens. :shrug:
