1. PHP
Screwed up syntax mix like a masochist's mix of perl and C stuff.

Still, it is so damn fast and once you get past the syntax easy to code in.

I love php.

and is free. And has nothing to do with Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer. And has an unbelievable support network. And is rock solid.

Choice? Go PHP. You will never look back.

Benefits? I can't think of any.

I use perl tho.

4. I used to use Perl
but I found I could code everything in about half the time and half the lines in PHP. Might be slightly faster in Perl. What do you use it for?
