I always thought it was interesting that the show switched the enthusiasms of Oliver and Lisa for city and country between the theme song and the show itself. In the song, Oliver is brimming with excitement about a move the sophisticated Lisa is dreading, but in the show, it's Oliver who is alien in Hooterville, and Lisa fits right in!

Oliver decided too raise hell with the phone co. so he could finally get the phone inside the house. Sahar and son gave the phone co. to Oliver who hired an illeagal alien from Mr. Haney to operate the switchboard. She was snarly and ill tempered whenever anyone was rude she said "I'm gonna pull your plug" and did cutiing people off.
That and going through the closet to get outside, all the Park Ave furniture in the rundown farmhouse.

Hank Kimbell was the funniest. Eb was quite funny....perfect fit just like Jethro Bodine was for thr hillbillies (best damn show ever).

The premise of green acres was that everyone was crazy except for Mr. Douglas.....this situation worked well for Bob Newheart twice!

Caught Norm McDonalds new show the other night.....same premise there too. Grows quite old after a while.....Newheart did it best.

I keep misremembering it as Don Adam's "Would you believe...?" It was something to show how weak a grasp he had on his own knowledge base...sort of like me, today!
