I ran my hands across each picture multiple times and I sensed a little evil in #4. But, my freepdar may be off...

3 is Colin Peterson (D-MN). A conservative D, but a D nonetheless.

My guess is 4.

He looks the part of the smug little wealth brat. Hasn't worked an honest day in his life.

I deal with people from all over every day, and I'm social phobic. Very sensitive to the subtle. I bet'cha! I bet'cha!

The president of the college Republicans at my alma mater looked just like him.

He has similar hair and the same look as that Paul Ryan guy from southeast Wisconsin...

They all look alike. Same boring, dated looking outfits.

2 and 4 are dead giveaways because of the "patriotic pin" on the lapel. :eyes: But that's really more of a stereotype than anything else...

Of course, #1 isn't smiling so he may not be a puke after all...

Because so many of them have the power suits and insincere smiles. It's much easier with generic talking heads.

That said, I agree with everyone who says #2 and #4 are the likeliest. They both have that insincerity thing going, plus what look like identical lapel pins.

#1 looks both too rumpled and too ethnic to be a Republican. #3 has certain tell-tale "liberal" signs -- a relatively dark shirt, a faint echo of a JFK haircut, a certain crinkliness around the eyes that makes his smile look natural rather than forced.

Of the other two -- well, #2 looks a bit creepier, but I'm not sure that's a fool-proof marker of Republicanism. #4 looks smugger. I think I'll go with #4.

Of course, it's always possible you're setting us up totally by choosing atypical members of each party. If it's a cheat, I'd have to say #1 on the grounds of looking the least likely.

(Gee, if this were "I've Got a Secret," we'd at least get to ask them questions first.)

Although #2 is a close second. Both of their smiles just flat-out scare me. :(

That's Ed Case (DINO-HI 2nd). His cousin is megabucks AOL guy Steve, who is, amazingly, even more clean-cut and square-jawed.

Ed Case chose to honor* the memory of his predecessor, Patsy Mink, who always supported children's causes, by adding a friendly amendment to the Repuke attempt to gut IDEA (special education). Case thinks those bloodsucking lawyers are steamrolling the poor, put-upon school districts that aren't providing the services required by law, so he wants to cap attorneys' fees in IDEA cases! Charming. Take away the little guy's access to the justice system. Oh yeah. That's the Democratic way... NOT!

Edit: It's astounding to see how many votes he's been getting! Does he get a prize for fooling our expert DU panel??

So 3 and 4 are now identified Dems (sounds like 4's only wearing sheep's clothing, however).

I'm going to rule out number 2 because the background on his pic is the same as the others. Stupid reasoning, but so be it.

My guess goes to number 1 because the background of his pic is different, and his ethnicity gives him the shocker effect for this quiz (like repug senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell of Colorado).

#4 Has the most phoney look on his face

Number 1 doesn't look anything like a WASP, and he's got that compassionate look in his eyes. Number 4 looks WASPy, but again, he's got that sincere, honest look to him. He looks like he could be a high school teacher, or something.

I spotted 2 and 3 dead on. Total freeps.

Number 2, Chris Chocola of Indiana's 2nd district.

It's #2, the clues are (1) the only white shirt (2) the red/blue stripped tie (3) the SS haircut. So do I need to pick up the prize or will you send it to me???
