4. Not physically
Only via debate, by "slaying" their inane rhetoric with logic, science, truth, etc.

And thank you! :toast:

5. No, I didn't know that, what a bummer.
I was recently disappointed when watching an old episode of BH 90210. "Andrea" was excitedly talking about her summer job with a Republican something or other. With her values I would have thought for sure she'd be a democrat.

Thanks for the congrats! :hi:

8. Hi, Buffy. Not to be insulting, but I had a beautiful Cocker Spaniel by
that name. She lived for fourteen happy years. Her "call name" was Buffy, but her real name was "Sunshine Haze of Kimra". We loved her very much. She was my "first" child! I still miss her...

Are you a blonde?

11. No insult taken...my real name isn't Buffy anyway
It's Tara.

And I am blonde. True blonde, not bottle blonde. In the past I have lightened it, darkened it and even gone dark red, but for the past several years I've been at my natural color.

14. Oh, I'm jealous. I love blonde hair and blue eyes. I loved a couple

of guys with that coloring, but married brunettes. All of our grandchildren have variants of light to dark brown hair.

By the way, I love the name Tara. One of the managers at the radio station is named Tara, but she insists in pronouncing it correctly --TAH-ra (guess she isn't happy if you call her TAY-ra, which is the only variant I can think of...).

Have a great week. I have to get a blood test for thyroid today so I'm off to shower and dress.

15. Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism?
I have hypothyroidism...I just had my labwork done a week or so ago myself. I can handle the medication but hate the dietary restrictions :grr:

16. Hypothyroidism -- until my doctor and his nurse SCREWED UP
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 12:23 AM by Radio_Lady
my medication, and put me on 175 mcg instead of 75 mcg for the better part of a year. My TSH went bananas and no one could figure it out from 5/9/04 until 5/9/05, when the Chief of Endocrinology caught the error.

I am now having a consultation with their legal department for this "little" error. The nurse, of course, doesn't remember making the error and no one caught it for all this time.

You can read about this monstrous mistake at:

What are your dietary restrictions?

17. I remember that thread
I'd be pissed if that happened to me--that's nothing to screw around with. Of course the nurse conveniently doesn't remember making the error, but you have the evidence of it so she can't claim she didn't do it.

With hypothyroidism it's recommended that one avoid spinach, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, peaches, pears, radishes, and all soy products as they inhibit thyroid activity and prevent absorption of the hormone taken to correct hypothyroidism. Some sources even recommend limiting wheat products. I can handle not having spinach and kale (I hate them) but I love soy, peaches and wheat products.

12. Indeed it is
Granted we have roughly 8 murders, 29 forcible rapes, 256 robberies, and 493 aggravated assaults per 100,000 residents, give or take. However we aren't crawling with vampires, demons and gods opening the portal between worlds. Best of all, we aren't situated on a hell-mouth.
