I saw the Dylan and Willie Nelson show last night. Willie was really good, but it got slow at times. Bob came on and actually sang the first song. Then he switched into "Dylan" mode and whined the rest of the night. His band rocked and all in all it was a great show. I have to say... I didn't know so many good looking women dig Bob Dylan that much. I spent half the time people watching.:) It was well worth the 50 bucks and if they are coming out your way, it's worth the time and money. Here is the list: # Tombstone Blues # Señor (Tales Of Yankee Power) # God Knows # Visions Of Johanna # Cry A While # Shooting Star # Highway 61 Revisited # Tryin' To Get To Heaven # Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again # Floater (Too Much To Ask) # Ballad Of A Thin Man # Summer Days
encore # The Times They Are A-Changin' # All Along The Watchtower
I thought they might, but no such luck. His band was great. All Along the Watchtower was phenomenal. Bob played keys most of the night, but he was really animated. I think he had a good time.
you were doing well the be able to tell what songs he sang! When I heard him it was a running gag with my friend and husband. The three of us strained to hear a familiar phrase so we could identify the song. Still, we saw Dylan and it was good if not a little strange.
I got the song list from his site. I knew most of what he did last night, but it was the same as you... I had to wait for a familiar line..lol. He was really good last night though and he was about as good as last time I saw him 2 years ago.
even if it was muddled. Partly I enjoyed it because he was having fun. It was a beautiful night, cool night in St. Louis. We flew there to see him but mostly to see Paul Simon. Dylan was having a blast, the crowd was having a blast so who needs enunciation?
