Well it's official: I'm the neighborhood nut
Just listening to some good old 70's rock and roll music and dancing across the living room floor. I noticed a couple of kids looking in at me. I imagine they were probably thinking something like, "What a crazy old guy. What the hell is wrong with him?" It doesn't matter, I LOVED Brownsville Station and especially the tune, "Kings of the Party". The major problem is that I can't really dance very well. But if it's in you, you gotta let it out. Rock on forever.

1. Were you in your underwear singing in to a high school sports trophy?
And what are your views on psychiatry and Scientology, Tom?

So I'll say...yawn. Who cares? You are what you are and you most likely don't have time for a gray collar son of a gray collar man and I don't care. At least we share similar political views.

5. Join the club and welcome!
I got caught in my barn dancing with a broom and singing nonsense words to something on a Regional Mexican music station. I was having a blast when I looked up to see one of the neighbor families had come to visit. Yes, crazy lady here and I love it. Now they have been warned, they call first.

14. You could be
True story: As you may know, I work in a community based program for adults with mental health needs. We have many houses in various parts of several neighborhoods, and the neighbors know it. They know the agency's name and sometimes take to calling if they have something to rant about (like one of the clients having the audacity to lie on their own picnic table!:o ).

One day I got a call claiming one of my "residents" was out in the front yard singing at the top of his lungs. I got the location (not one of the units in my program but one in the same complex, and we have people from another program there) and told the caller I would look into the matter. I went down the street and sure enough, there was a burly black man making his love of the Lord apparent to all while he did his yard work.

The thing was, he was not one of the agency's "residents", he was a private citizen. I approached him and mentioned the call I had received, making a little joke of it. He told me very pleasantly but firmly that if the woman called back I could tell her :"I'm singing my thanks to the Lord for making such a beautiful day, and she can come down here if she wants and I'll tell her to her face any time!". Then we shared a laugh and I went on my way.

It is interesting how people assume that if you are having some fun you are abnormal.
