Soldiers Steal Armoured Personnel Carrier So They Can Buy Vodka
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 08:15 AM by matcom
<snip>

TWO Russian soldiers are in trouble after driving an armoured personnel carrier 40km to buy vodka.

They were caught after crashing through a fence into a used-car showroom, demolishing several vehicles, on the way back.
The soldiers took the armoured vehicle from their military base, near Yekaterinburg in Siberia, and drove it to the nearest town.

After finding vodka they started heading back to the base but their driving declined as they sampled their shopping.

They were arrested by police who caught up with them after the APC broke down.

1. seems reasonable

I mean, if you got posted to Siberia for a winter and then didn't get paid for six months, wouldn't you be a drunk?
