3. Some kind of casserole
It's still in the oven - we haven't eaten yet. Not sure what it is, but it's based on squash. A new recipe. Smells good so far.
Why is your state shaped so funny?

7. well, the southern border is a river
The Potomac and when it comes from the Bay it curves NW---past Washington DC (which was cut out of MD) and up into the Mountains

The Northern Border is the Mason Dixon line---which is straight across
As the Potomac curves NW, it gets closer and closer to the Mason Dixon
On the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake, Delaware is also defined by the Mason Dixon

10. That there sounds like a tote full o' rationalizations!
That dangly bit way over to the west is especially annoying. It's like your whole state has a skin tag.

12. That is because of the Potomac
it curves up really close to the Mason Dixon near Hancock, Maryland and then turns South again, creating the odd shape out west.

9. My state, and possibly Iowa,
are the states most shaped like cookies.

Hawaii doesn't count.

4. Well...
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 09:25 PM by El Fuego
Grilled steak I had marinated in red wine, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic and other stuff. And summer squash, zucchini, red pepper and red onion which I put on the grill, and then chopped up with mixed with Buitoni basil pesto sauce.

It was actually pretty darn good.

18. This was the first time I ever made one
but I don't think it will be the last. It was so simple, I don't know why I never made one before. The hardest part was grating the lime skin for the zest without grating the skin off my fingers at the same time!
