Men who cry in public are NOT wimps.
My father cries when he is in pain or has panic attacks. This does not make him any less than a man or a good human being. He showed a lot of bravery in being a CO.

lies to us and avoids answering difficult questions.

52. And gw*dipshit is not crying for legitimate reasons
He doesn't have the heart that would allow him to shed tears for that purpose. His tears are crocodile tears meant to fool the people.

I had no idea what you were talking about until now. I went to GD to get the scoop. I failed to watch chimpy tonight, I had a nice day and I didn't want that bastard to ruin it for me.

So... he cried I take it?

8. That is true. Thanks for the support. Like me, my Dad
is a highly functioning mentally ill person. He supports us with his work as a librarian and is a great guy. I mean what would you rather have a dad who cries or a dad who is insensitive and aloof?

I think Dubya is insensitive and aloof as a father and as a leader.

6. Your dad is just fine. Bush is a wimp...he cries over his death projects.
He cried, the pussy, after 911 when he tried to address the nation from the WH. Few remember this after he returned but he was pathetic, choked up. He was largely to blame and he cried like a baby.

He cried tonight at the end of the speech. Why? Does he think this will be his last murderous war? Does he think he won't be able to dress up again like a pilot? Does he think he may actually have to stop the carnage?

What struck me about the speech tonight was the limited support he received form the audience. What a comment!

11. Thanks for getting my point. Dubya's crying to me
does not come out of real sorrow or feelings of guilt, but as if he is crying for show. I am proud of the audience for their reaction, especially since they are military!!!

20. Pride well placed. Expect spin that they were asked not to cheer.
I heard a hint of this already. They plant this crap and then when someone says, hey all those soldiers were pretty quiet for the commander (I did expect a lot of cheers), the pukes will say, well, they were asked. blabla.

It would have been just fine (although it would never happen) if one of them had noticed Bush's tears and yelled out (like HS), "you are such a phony, Bush, bite me!" These guys are pros and that would never happen but it would have been hilarious.

He's nostalgic for his former role as a warrior-king.

BTW, can reptiles cry?

On edit: I got a bit misty when my daughter moved out, natural. Wedding, OMG! I also weep, on occasion, when I pay her credit card bills. Dads are supposed to be softies for their daughters.

Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 10:05 PM by tjdee
Well, except when they're overacting.

A man crying indicates depth of feeling, which I find tremendously attractive and appealing.

Bush crying because he's trying to save his own punk ass is, on the other hand, disgusting and :puke: -riffic.

Men that cry from emotion or pain are NOT wimps. Men that cry, because they are sad are NOT wimps.

However, ANYONE that cries to manipulate the public is a coward hiding behind his or her crocodile tears.

I cry all the time, I guess it comes with the bleeding heart.

Just over the weekend I visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. I am 20 years old, but I cried anyway, as this is the first time I've visited the memorial and seen names of kids younger than me on the wall. And all those names...they could have been my friends. It was just too much.
