Wanted: beautiful people
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) - As someone whose wife married him for qualities other than his looks, I'd never be mistaken for Brad Pitt. Still, I've got to ask Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Michael Jeffries: What in blazes kind of business are you running?

The company last year sold thong underwear for 10-year-old girls with the words "Eye Candy" on the crotch and T-shirts bearing the image of Chinese launderers and the slogan, "Two Wongs Can Make It White." It promotes its general clothing line with Web photos of naked women and men in foreplay poses.

Its latest indignity tops all those.

3. There was a great article I read
A couple years ago from a newspaper (can't remember which one) about Abercrombie&Fitch and how their whole business is basically, to quote "Almost Famous," "An industry of cool."

People who work there must be beautiful. Young people are easily marketed to, and as long as the clothing continues to appear "cool" and worn by the beautiful people, they'll be successful.

The sexualization of young people among the advertising/marketing industry today, girls especially, is quite disgusting.

5. Well, I think that I can make that cut...
from the article, it says that they reserve the right to hire models with:

natural, classic American style

I believe that my slight gut and generally out of shape body makes me well qualified as one with natural, classic American style.
