Poll question: What should my 3 yr old wear for his preschool's july 4th parade?
My 3 yr old's preschool/day care is in a large office building. For the various holidays, the kids parade through the first floor plaza area. The people who work in the building (most of whome have kids at the day care) come and watch. At Halloween, the people give the kids candy, etc. It is festive and the kids enjoy it.

Anyway, a note came home that there will be a 4th of July parade on Friday and to dress your child in red-white-blue to show their patriotic colors. Well, I'm not feeling that patriotic right now. So, I'm, not sure what to dress my son in.

I should mention that a good number of the parents of these kids are freepers, although there are a few parents with anti-bush stickers on their cars.

Thanks,
Debbi

What should my son wear for the parade?

1. Does he have a Kids for Kerry Tee?
Is it red, white, and blue? Heck yeah, let him wear it. Even though he's only three, I'm sure he's being raised to be a good little Dem. :D

2. Let him pick.
Our daughter just recently turned 4, and she would rather pick out her own clothes to wear. Some days that leads to some interesting outfits, but what the hey - it's only daycare. One less fight in the morning that way, too.

5. Shop at the DU store. They have kids sizes.

I doubt you'll be able to get one before the 4th, but you might get lucky......

8. Thanks. Good to know they have kids' sizes...
We need it for Friday, so that won't work.

I may have to order one for him for future use.

6. He is a child not a political billboard. You basicly are looking to make
a statement abour your beliefs and are thinking of using your child. Your child is just that, a child. They would just be happy parading with their friends. There is no harm in wearing red, white and blue. Let your child be a child. Three year olds do not need to worry about politics.

Peace

9. Amen to that
let the kid have fun while he can - his day will come. As it does for all of us.
