Can one claim an abandoned car?
I know of no less than 3 abandoned cars a short walk from my apartment...a Jeep Cherokee (no plates, 4 flat tires), a VW Quantum somethign (has plates, registration expired 6 years ago), and oddly enough a Porsche 924 (no plates, full of old tires). They have all been sitting for at least 3+ years.

Does anyone know if I can junk 'em and get some money for them? :-) this is in MA, by the way.

3. You have to have the title to gain ownership.
You can apply for the titles with the DMV, it takes a while. You might also call the police and or city public works and complain. They might tow them to the impound yard.
It funny that they would let them sit there for three years. In my state they would be towed off if left on a public road without plates.
