~*BREAKING*~Tom Cruise says he believes in aliens
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050629/od_nm/germany_cruise_dc

BERLIN (Reuters) - Hollywood actor Tom Cruise not only battles creatures from outer space in his latest film "War of the Worlds," he also believes aliens really exist, he told a German newspaper Wednesday.

Asked in an interview with the tabloid daily Bild if he believed in aliens, Cruise said: "Yes, of course. Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe?"

"Millions of stars, and we're supposed to be the only living creatures? No, there are many things out there, we just don't know," Cruise, 42, said in the interview published in German.

31. Ditto
When you consider how huge the universe is, it's definitely possible. Now whether or not they've actually visited earth is a completely different issue. But I definitely think it's reasonable to think that some form of intelligent life exists elsewhere.

I believe in them too... But, for entirely different

8. I HOPE there's somebody else out there...
because with all those billions and billions of stars out there, it's pretty depressing to think that that this is as good as it gets.

Whether or not they're here or not...

9. Visitation is up in the air. But math-wise, we cannot possibly be alone.
For all we know, that could mean that on some other planet, a race of overgrown garden slugs injests methane and bangs on rocks with, well, other rocks. Not all "aliens" have to have warp drive, ya know.

14. The question is...
is "other life" something we would recognize as such? Or intelligence? Is what we call "intelligence" specific to large lifeforms with which we are familiar? A significant fraction of our intelligence arises from the manner in which we are embodied. A very different alien might be so different from us that we would never even recognize it as alive, much less conscious or intelligent.

11. He also belives that "Earth was called Teegeeack 75 million years ago"
But I'd like to believe that HE doesn't believe in OT VIII...

...in which L. Ron Hubbard tells of his return as the AntiChrist:

"I will return not as a religious leader but a political one. That happens to be the requisite beingness for the task at hand. I will not be known to most of you, my activities misunderstood by many, yet along with your constant effort in the theta band I will effectively postpone and then halt a series of events designed to make happy slaves of us all."

Concerning the statement that he made in the context that it's in, i can only agree.

Indeed.

Ah, but he knows enough to give health care advice to the world?

Hmmmmmm. Arrogance is as arrogance does, eh?

A ridiculous question and an all-too serious answer from a man going through a ridiculous phase of life.

22. We are not even alone on this planet!
Last time I checked I found all sorts of creatures and plants thriving. I guess I better go double check since Cruise suggests we are alone on this planet.

Now for extra dimensional fun. There could be multiple extraterrestrial visits without our knowing it... Hope they don't get too personal.
