How unpatriotic - the 9-striped flag!

What rocket scientist did this not once but over and over again. He could have easily done that background and made sure that all 13 stripes were showing

2. Does this count as "physical desecration"?
You know, as it is stated in the anti-flag burning amendment they just passed through the House?

4. No, I think this is how it works
They're planning the next 9/11-style attack now. It'll be launched against the Northeast from the sea, probably by LNG tanker explosions, and it will completely obliterate Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. Then there will only be nine of the original 13 states, and their flag will then be accurate.

6. I think they had to throw this together in a hurry

I think the negative reaction to Bush using the troops as both a literal and psycholgical backdrop forced them to make it look like he was in an auditorium rather than a military facility. That may also be the reason while there was so little applause--they didn't order it becasue they wanted it to look "spontaneous."

7. Bush is situated now to the far right...
He doesn't even make an attempt to get in the center.

8. Simply stated, those are not American flags
An American flag has 13 stripes and 50 stars any first grade could tell you that. Apparently shrub doesn't know that. I don't know what those are but they aren't American flags.

9. Coffin Flags
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 11:24 AM by supernova
Someone over in GD said they thought these were the flags you drape over coffins.

Yes, I'm too lazy to look for the link right now. :P

If it's true, kinda begs the question why they chose coffin flags rather than regular flags. I'm sure at Ft Bragg there were appropriately-sized flags available.

10. There is no difference in a coffin flag except size..........
50 star canton & 13 stripes of red & white. Those in the picture look like bunting. I personally think it look hokey, the POTUS and not even a proper flag and presidential flag.
