Right now he's visiting a friend in Strasbourg. He's making a chocolate tart.

1. I live really close to his Brooklyn shop
But I've never been there. It might be dangerous for me. :P

10. my bosses used to ask for three months notice.....
and then say "it's not a good time" every single time. bastards! Oh, that would be such a good combo, NY and DC. I'm iffy on the protest myself but it's tempting. i had a great time in DC in january.

11. I was at the march for women's rights in DC last April. It was great.
I could take the train down to Philly or to DC itself. I don't get to do that kind of thing much here.

We had been understaffed at work, ut as of Friday, we're fully staffed so time off should be easier to get. I only have about two weeks of vacation saved up. :D

23. i PMed you some info about that.....
I hate going into boring details on a thread where we ought to be talking about chocolate.
what if someone from GD came here found out we were off script? :scared:
did you know Jacque cheated in a choc molding contest in france by dipping a whole bicycle in chocolate? apparently he was raised in a very competative enviornment, as far as the choclate goes. i had a few cookies of his a while back. just amazing.
there, that should keep the lounge police busy. nothing to see here except chocolate talk. uh huh.

2. I'm actually going to his new store/factory after work tonight
He makes the BEST hot fudge I've ever even dreamed of having. Ran out a week ago, and I desperately need some more.

Planning on making a pan of brownies this evening and topping one with ice cream, the J.T. hot fudge and some Spanish peanuts.

I will be in heaven...

21. If you don't mind my asking, -
how can you watch the Food Network while you're feeling all 'urpity.' I was similarly indisposed recently and food was the last thing I wanted to see.

22. Not sure.
It might help that there's nothing else I feel like watching. I did have to switch channels when Mario Batali was cutting up the fresh meat, but after it was cooked, I was ok.
