12. Its not hard
you can find a basic 'pickling kit' at most grocery stores, which is a packet of spices and directions.

Basically, it involves mixing vinegar, water, sugar, and spices. You boil this, pour into jars with the cucumbers, and let it sit a couple weeks.

8. Cukes and Tomatos?
Gazpacho time! Don't they taste better when you grow 'em yourself?
PM me for my recipe for "white" gazpacho - toms and cukes with chicken broth and cream. Delicious!
Khash.

11. okay, now you've done it
I'll have to go home tonight and make gazpacho (although the cukes and tomatoes have to come from the Asian produce market down the street, since I don't have a garden).

Mine is the boring old red version.

9. Bah! My beautiful lemon cucumber plants are folding
Stupid cucumber beetles

They were doing really well too. At least I got a few dozen cuces off of them before they crashed. There's still a possibility for a few more, but we'll see. If they don't improve I'm gonna tear them out for pumpkins.

I have 15 or so tomato plants which are hopefully ready to start setting fruit. Mmmmmmmmm...
