GRRRRRR!!!!
This is a good old fashioned rant thread.

1) WHY CAN'T I FIND PANTS IN MY SIZE!? I'm not obeise, I'm not oddly shaped, I'm just short. And I'm not even THAT short.... I'm 5'6", but aparently anyone who makes pants that are remotely fashionable insist that short people need to have 28" waists! Look, my hip bones don't allow me to wear pants that have a waist under 32", and I know I'm not the only one. So where are my damn pants? All of the 32" waist pants generally start with a 34" inseem, so I either have to buy ugly pants or pants way too long.

HINT TO FASHION DESIGNERS: Short people don't look like miniature fashion models, their waists are the same damn size as taller people! They can be thicker than tall people without being fat!

2) WHY DOES SIM CITY 4 SUCK SOOO SOOO SOOOOOOO BADLY!? Don't act like you don't play sim games, I know you all do. I know that new versions tend to be harder than the previous, but this is ridiculous! There is simply no way that I've found, without cheating to get more cash, to create a city that doesn't lose money. And they don't just lose money, they bleed money uncontrolably...

HINT TO GAME DESIGNERS: Make your games hard, but not so hard they're impossible to even play, let alone 'win.'

3) WHY DOESN'T MY LANDLORD ANSWER MY CALLS AND SEND ME MY DAMN DEPOSIT BACK!? My old landlord, who is the owner of the building, used to live here in Bozeman, but has since moved to Tucson. We moved out 59 days ago. He's hired a property manager to take over the place (who happens to be the most unscrupulous and dishonest person I have ever met). In any case, no deposit was returned despite our numerous calls, so we finally got ahold of him last week and he says he'll mail out the check this week minus what Keith (dishonest property manager) says we owed. Keith has aparently told him we trashed the place (totally untrue btw). I told our old landlord that he can't reduce the amount of the deposit, it's been more than 30 days, and he lost his chance. He says he'll talk to Keith about it. Anyway, it's this week now and no check yet....

What's this guy's problem? Why doesn't he just shut up and send me the check? I can't really bug him in person, since he's in AZ, and the lawyer I use on campus can't see me til next week....

HINT TO MONTANA BUSINESSES: If you'd set up a BBB in this state, you'd get fewer crooks like Keith, and fewer irate consumers like myself.....

Thanks for listening!

2. Where are you buying pants?
I'm either a 36 or 38 waist, with a 30 inseam, and don't have any problems finding pants. I'm about 5'9, 200lbs, give or take (been losing weight lately).

Of course I'm probably not that fashionable either, though. I buy most of my clothes at places like Target, JC Penney or Kohls...

Good luck on the pants front!

5. I have a hard time b/c I am short and I have a 25" waist!!
If they fit in the legs and butt then the waist is huge, if they fit in the waist then the butt and legs look like I spray painted them on. And they are ALWAYS too damn long, and the petite section does not have my style of clothes!!!!!

9. I don't have this issue now, but when I was thin I could never find the
right size pants or dresses because fashion designers don't think there is such a thing as a 5'3" woman with a 37, 25, 37 figure. (Of course, there is no such thing now, and I refuse to admit to what my actual measurements are these days. :P )

14. Well my measurements just a few years ago were
36-24-37, but now they are more like 36-25-38. As you get older, your hips expand a little so you can have that baby if you want it. I didn't really need mine to expand, they seemed prepared for a baby already. I am 5'3"!

Good luck with the trying, though. We had a struggle getting the first one (the fellow eating his hand) but the cookie monster one showed up when least expected. *g*

Maybe it wasn't a good pregnancy, maybe I wasn't ready. Who knows, but I know that when you actually have children, it is worth everything you go through to get them!!!! Sorry for your losses as well.

so it was sad but could have been far worse) returned to me as the two I have now. :)

12. Bozeman...Montana?
Dinoboy...You are living in my hometown.

Sorry about all your beefs, but I would trade places w/you in a heartbeat (well, I'd want my job and husband and son and house and stuff but to be in Bozeman)

What are your plans for the weekend? Where will the fireworks be? What part of town do you live in? Where do you work? I wish I were there RIGHT NOW!

13. Hehehee
I have no idea what I'm doing for the 4th. I live in the NE part of town, a few blocks off Main, and I'm a student. Bozeman rocks, but it's expensive and hard to find a good paying job.

15. What bars are even popular there any more?
the R-Bar was always good but then they turned it into a yuppie bar and the Crystal was the place to be. Is the Leaf and Bean still around? I heard Jonaes the chocolate shop closed...and I am dying for a Pickle Barrel sandwich (cheesesteak). Do you live on Mendenhall? Rouse? or off of Wilson?

I lived across South Third from the Mormon Church, used to take the shortcut past the MSU track to school all the time (acted like we were cool college folk when we were in high school). We used to go to the dorms and ride the elevators until we found a dorm party...we were such losers!

I haven't been back since 2001 and it's driving me nuts!

Do you ski Bridger?

It is expensive there, but Hylite is free and beautiful - you are so lucky!
