Credit Report Question
Let's say that you have a really ugly, deliquent, but legitimate debt on your report. However, you pay it off in full. What happens to your credit report? Does it go away? Or does the deliquent debt stay on your report forever?

2. It is noted as 'paid'
but if you were late in paying it that is still noted also.
It can stay for up to 7 years.

3. It SHOULD me marked paid
But don't assume that it will. Unless you contact the credit bureau you are depending on the creditor to report it. You remember how nice these people were to you while trying to collect the money. Don't assume that they are going to be real quick to report it paid.
