YAY! Most of The State is working together again!
I just caught that Comedy Central's fake cop show has 4 members of MTV's sketch comedy show, The State, as cast members.

Now I'm interested in seeing it!

"I wanna dip my balls in it!"

Let's see how many people remember that line.

2. What was the name of the show done by three of them?
Via Variety or something like that?

4. Yep, Viva Variety
And from the commercials, it's only three regular cast members (Thom Lennon, Kerri Kinney, and Ben Garant)

Viva Variety was Tom, Kerri, and Michael Ian Black, and was based on a State sketch called "The Mr. and the Former Ms. Laupin Variety Hour".

I have a tape with every episode of The State on it. It's boss.

8. The fourth one looks different, but I swear he's a State guy
Maybe he's from another sketch show and I'm mixing them up. I didn't think there was a fourth State castmember either until I looked real closely.

If you like Reno 911, watch Wet Hot American Summer with Janeane Garofalo and Michael Showalter. It's hilarious, especially if you like David Hyde Pierce!

5. Welcome to DU, midnight mouser
These entertainment posts always get the new people out of the woodwork. I started posting here because of a Babylon 5 comment.

:hi:

10. There are a lot of B5 fans here
Usually you'll see a comment or two when Ashcroft is getting freaky. Someone will usually bring up Nightwatch.

15. Season 1 and 2 (with 3 coming soon) is on DVD
And that's really a great way to watch the show in the style that it deserves.

6. I started thinking about the part with the talking fruit can at work
and about busted out laughing in the middle of taking the customers money. Wet Hot American Summer was the closest we'll ever get to a sketch comedy Clash Of The Titans, with members of the state writing and starring in it, Amy Poehler from UCB starring, and Janeane with her experience on Ben Stiller Show, SNL, and Mr. Show.

11. It's in pretty bad shape
Maybe when I get my digital encoding shit up and running, I'll just encode it and send you the files or something.
