I will NOT boycott T3
When the movie first came out, a friend of mine presented a very good argument for not going to see it. Arnold is an idiot who purposely or not rams the Kennedy name into the ground. He thinks liberalism is a disease. And if he runs for office and wins it will be a disgrace unlike anything previously save for Raygun and Ventura.

But the movie is good--so I hear. I really want to see it. I was a huge fan of the first two movies, back before I was aware of Arnold's leanings. I'm sure it's not worth the headache but why bother to boycott the movie because I don't like the star?

For me to do that would make me no better than the conservative bastards who won't buy Dixie Chicks CDs because of their views.

2. I'm with you.
T3 is real good.

If I was a resident of California I would not vote for Schwarzenegger. He has no business in politics. But he's really good at playing a killer robot. I'll give him $2 (or whatever he gets per ticket) to watch him do that every time.

6. I know!
I couldn't see someone doing it as well as him. And with the way its scripted, anyone could play that role and fit with the script, really. I'm glad it didn't go the way of the Bond films due to Ah-nolds aging. (BTW, his tits are huge, damnb)

4. I just saw it tonight
and it is very, very good.

If you're going to boycott, you're a little late. Arnold has already been paid his millions, so you going to see it shouldn't make his pockets fatter...unless he gets royalties or something.

5. For some reason.
I will go out of my way to shop at RW radio sponsors, frequent any pacifica and i.e. sponsors i see around (dont need preperation H though... maybe in a few years, lol).

But I see no point in the boycott hollywood deal, on either side. I mean, I won't watch Fox News or get any of my news from 24/7 spin machines. But did I go see the Terminator, yup. Am I going to go see the Whole Ten Yards, yessss. Am I interested in seeing this supposed anti-semetic Mel Gibson movie... Yup. Everyone has thier opinions I guess.

8. T3=good action film but APPALLING Terminator sequel...
It adds nothing to the series of films. T1 and T2 were both intelligent films with good, original plots and scripts.

T2 developed the ideas of T1, took them in a new direction and made you think.

T3 is a lot of fun but the acting is not great, there's no suspense and it is essentially a 90 minute chase sequence.

Yes it's quite fun, but it's nowhere near as good as the first 2 films. It's lazy and IMHO a cynical attempt to squeeze as much cash as possible out of the series before they eventually have to end it. They could have covered all the "plot" of T3 in about 30 mins and then moved on to develop the theme, rather than just have another long chase.

They're all too self-referential and altogether too pleased with themselves. I don't mind some lighthearted humour occasionally, but the gags here are just silly and they seem to be slapping each other on the bag in congratulation.

It's worth watching, but it's not a good Terminator film...

9. I can definately agree.
It could've jumped to the actual war... like the trailers implied (really, 70% of what I saw were the future scenes in the movie, which constituted maybe 3 minutes)... But T4 should kick ass, lest it be totally freaked up.

10. Do you think that you could sue the people who made the trailer???
Seriously - more like 90% of the trailer shows footage of John Connor in the future fighting the machines after the apocalypse....

About 0.5% of the film covers that........talk about grossly misleading advertising.

11. I actually dug the movie
and paid matinee price, so i'm not disgruntled. Some of the action scenes are amazing (obviously the whole chase scene coming from the veteranarians (only bad part was Danes whining)), but I agree with your Idea. The first one dealt more with Sara if I remember, Second with John, why have another one tying to John? I was disturbed by the (SPOILERS from here on) killings of his 'lieutenants' b/c thier roles were never really explained, and it seemed that it might have a relevant outcome in the future (which it may well have).

And the Terminatrix... First she is kicking ass, then she gets stuck to an electro magnet, she can't move yet a tiny sawblade pops out her arm on a yarn-thing pole that can somehow resist the force and cut her off....

Then she dies how? Ok.. H-bomb.... but she is reduced into a skinless robotic screeching torso by having a helicopter land on her. Hollywood could definately do better.

12. I agree (spoilers)...
"I was sent back to protect you and your lieutenants..."

"But they're all dead except for this one here"

"Oh.....bugger....."

Either don't mention them at all or do something more with them.

Regarding the rest of your criticism - I agree entirely.
