Smart -assed wife.

She's been bugging me for a week to fix the washing machine. Something I have no idea how to do anyway. But, I was way too busy all week doing hurricane prep.

So today, it's nice and quiet, except for the rain and thunder. I sit down with the paper, and pour myself a cocktail ans prepare to relax, when she comes in and says, "If you don't figure out what's wrong with the washer, I'm going to buy a new one tomorrow!". I started laughing and said, "Yeah?, with what money?".

She said "Yours". I guess tomorrow we get a new washer.

6. My Husband Just Fixed Ours

He knew nothing about fixing washers (it quit draining properly and wouldn't spin) he went online and found the manual and the specs for the washer. Two days later we had a fixed washer. Maybe you could look up the brand name and year and do the same? Good luck!

9. We just bought a new washer a month and a half ago

Our 15-year-old Westinghouse finally gave out - motor burned up. The repairman said it'd be cheaper to buy a new one rather than have the old one fixed.

He suggested the new Whirlpool Duet front-loader. Sears was having an appliance sale, so we bought it there. Got a great deal, and the washer is state-of-the-art (I had to watch the accompanying DVD to learn how to operate it). I wouldn't normally use the adjective "beautiful" to describe a washing machine, but this one most certainly is.

Can't wait to get the matching dryer once the one we have now bites the dust. :evilgrin: :P
