Ladies, does it turn you off if a guy wears glasses?
I guess the subject line is fairly self-explanatory. I am kinda sick of wearing my contact lenses and I think I might just wear my specs full time. I'm just curious as to how ladies feel about glasses on guys compared to no glasses. Do you think it hinders ones attractiveness?

Personally, an attractive woman in glasses drives me ga-ga! It is kind of a weird fetish I have :)

1. I have always been attracted to men with glasses
It's a turn-on. If there are two men in the room and one wears glasses, I'll choose to talk to the guy with glasses almost every time.

btw, the man I married wears glasses!

So go ahead and try the specs.

2. Go with the specs
If you like women who wear glasses your chance is good that you'll find one if you wear them. (Sometimes the glassed feel self-conscious around the un-glassed).

Besides, glasses denote intelligence, being well read, computer-saaviness. And you don't have to remember to blink!!!

3. Girls don't make passes at guys who wear glasses
But I'm gay, so for me it's: Guys don't make passes at guys who wear glasses.

I wear contacts for a couple weeks (disposable, soft) and then wear the glasses for a few days. People say I look good wearing them, but I overall prefer the "freedom" of the lenses.

4. All the better...
... to see my pretty face! (gag)

Glasses don't make a hill of beans difference either way (not to me anyway).

5. Nonissue for me.
I used to wear contacts. Loved how well they worked, better than glasses, IMO. But for the last year I've been in glasses because my eyes don't adjust for reading in contacts very well anymore.

I think eyeglasses for the last few years have been very stylish and complementary. I bet the ladies will go ga-ga over you in glasses.

6. Every single man I've dated has worn glasses...
It's kind of spooky, actually, because I surely didn't seek that out. But I did seek out nerds; although not everyone I've dated has been a bona fide nerd, maybe that has something to do with it.

My husband is so blind without his glasses, he'd have trouble putting contact lenses in.

I've worn glasses part-time since 8th grade, and full-time since college.

7. Makes you look distinguished and learned
if you wear glasses.

Depends on the individual. I have no strong preference either way.

8. So long as they're not ancient, passe and cheap, tacky glasses...
it's worth spending the money for contemporary, flattering frames.

I've worn glasses & contacts for 37 years; blind as can be, and Lasic can't fix it... The contacts are fine, and sadly, I've become a sunglasses addict. I have an entire drawer with them nicely laid out in their cases... and glasses? Geez, I have like what? 6 pair of regular glasses? It's almost as bad as my gnome collection.

It truly is worth the money to invest in nice looking frames, is my recommendation. Hopefully your employer has a vision plan like VSP, but regardless, shell the bucks out for the nice ones. If you're in doubt over your own taste, take someone along you can trust, or go to a glasses place that ain't located in Sears or Walmart.

Stay away from trendy and ultra-fashionable. Find the ones that look best on your face, and that are the most comfortable.

10. My fiance looks good either bespectacled or not
Me, I'm ambiguous about it. Then again, I wore glasses from 18 months old to 16 years, and now I don't need them. :)

11. Good heavens, no.
My father and brother always wore glasses, and I remember that when I was a child, I could never believe any character with glasses in a TV show could be the bad guy.

This was before I knew about Dick Cheney, of course. :-)

But think of the role models: Stephen Hawking, Harry Truman, FDR...

There have always been plenty of good guys with glasses. Wear them with pride.

12. No, glasses are fine.
It's the words that come out of his mouth that usually does him in.

15. Jesus had the same idea
"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' " Matthew 15:11.

16. No, of course not.
If I am on a date with a guy and his contacts were irritating him, it might distract him from my bewitching beauty. So, I'd much prefer he was comfortable, eye-wise, and can devote his full attention to ME.
