I worked at an indy store in the late 80's, and DWG were my favorite "5 'til 9" record...meaning I'd crank out one of their 45's loud to drive everyone out of the store (plus it would get me in the mood to toss a few back after work!)...ah the good ol (pre IT) days!
I just found out a CD of their first "album" (nothing more than a collection of early singles) is still available. Wow.
A friend of mine in high school had the best recording of that album. It was a cassette version dubbed from a broken turntable that slowed the record down a couple RPMs. It made DWG sound sludgier and more menacing.
