Who can't wait for the new Harry Potter?
there is great excitement at my house, not quite as much as when the last book came out. But we are rereading the end of the last book to get in the mood!

Who's with me, and who is horrified? ;)

2. We mention it at least once a day, and our 2 copies are reserved.
Even with 2 copies we're at odds on who gets to read when.

5. Me, yet I will be standing in line Friday night
surrounded by a billion HP freaks in costume, 100 miles from home. Such is the love of a father for a daughter.

and for adults! I love that the kids read 600 plus page books more than once!

6. I'll probably read it sooner or later.
No big rush, though. I like the HP series in the same manner that I like junk food. Good, but I don't think I want a steady diet of it.

8. I just finished rereading The Order of the Phoenix
I can't wait for the book to come out. Though I thought the whole thing was rather silly when Goblet of Fire came out. I had never read the books and thought it was pretty funny when one of my friends at work was reading it as well as one of the owner's (who was in her late 60's). My friend finally got me to read one and I love the series.

14. I was actually skeptical at first
my husband had read them when our boy was small and then we started reading them to him... and I found them very agreeable and funny.

9. I'm excited about it, but I have to read
the last couple books to refresh my memory. I probably won't read the new one until things have died down a bit. I will check it out at the library, so it'll take a while for me to get it.

:)

30. My daughter is nine.
The first Harry Potter book was the first chapter book that we read to her. Now she has read the whole series twice herself and is reading the first book to her little brother right now (and I mean literally right now).

We credit the series of books for making her the avid reader she is.

31. I'm excited.
I'm anxious to read it, but I almost don't want to, knowing there'll probably be a 2-ish year wait for the final book. And then that's it. I kind of want to prolong the story as much as possible, I suppose. :)

41. Ready and waiting
I will be heading to Borders or B&N on Saturday. Rereading "Order of the Phoenix" now to get in the mood.

I thought the whole thing was sort of silly until my best friend's wife (she's a history Ph.D.) talked me into reading the first one. Then I was hooked. I owe her big time for that.
